What you’ll be doing as a Systems Engineer with Orolia Defense & Security:

As a Systems Engineer, you will be designing and developing solutions for positioning, navigation and timing systems for defense applications by leveraging our current technology portfolio and integrating current and new capabilities.  The position will use a deep knowledge of products and understanding of customer problems/needs to develop new solutions. 

 

Responsibilities include:

• Manage cost, schedule, quality of assigned projects
• Provide consultancy and technical expertise to customer requirements
• Provide on-site technical expertise as needed
• Prepare technical documentation and provide product / technical presentations to customers / partners, train customers on the delivered solution
• Support overall business goals and build customer relationships through interactions with Customers, Sales Managers and Channel Partners.
• Support the Product Manager in developing and executing the product plan, which includes acting as the voice-of-the-customer in product design decisions
• Act as the technical Subject Matter Expert for assigned Business line and is expected to work closely with current and prospective customers.
• Work closely as a technical resource with the engineering and sales teams
• As Subject Matter Expert (SME) in area(s) of technical expertise, develop customized PNT solutions based on existing core technologies and product designs. Continue to develop areas of expertise specific to PNT technologies and solutions
• Work across functions within the team to ensure successful design and delivery of the technical product – test, manufacturing, supply chain.
• Evaluate customer requirements and translate to a system design, documenting compliance, and traceability

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities We’re Looking For:

• Proficient in Positioning, Navigation and Timing, Networking and communications, Software Solutions or Electronics
• Proficient in project management to include system design and proposal management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include presenting
• Knowledge of market analysis, business industry and sales development
• Ability to position solutions, consult and determine customer needs
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Requirements:

BS degree (or equivalent work experience) in electronics, software, or telecommunications engineering.

5-10 years of proven work experience in a technology company in Pre-Sales and/or R&D.
