What you’ll be doing as a FW Development Engineer:
As a FW Development Engineer, you will be working closely with the engineering team and Project Manager to ensure timely and efficient execution of project and development tasks. The FW Development Engineer will be responsible for building the competitive advantage of the company by developing FW for new products, supporting production and modifications on existing products to deliver innovation, on time deliverables, service, and quality.
Responsibilities will include:
Actively participate in the design, execution and monitoring of a product development project plan from idealization to industrialization with key focus on embedded FW design.
Manage and take responsibility for specific development tasks related to product design.
Conduct feasibility analysis of FW parts, depending on the regulation, standards and requirements.
Design the embedded FW or software following design specifications.
Verification, validation and qualification of the FW/SW.
Assist with global debugging and qualification of products.
Writing relevant documents linked to the FW/SW, as specified in the R&D development process.
Propose technical solutions.
Assist and actively participate in production test development.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities We’re Looking For:
Strong engineering and technical background
Ability to design, validate and qualify FW on embedded electronics
Ability to analyze FW parts, depending on regulations, standards and requirements
Ability to write requirement and specification documents and propose technical solutions
Knowledgeable in embedded OS, embedded FW, micro-controllers, and DSP
Knowledge of EN9100, DO178 and DO254 norms
Previous experience in industriues such as medical, aerospace and defense a plus
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and orally
Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)
Microsoft suite and ERP system experience
Familiarity with product industrialization processes
BS Degree in an engineering discipline
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in FW Development
